Starting my career in the travel trade, I learned the tourism business at a destination specialist tour company, followed by international studies of economy, culture and tourism in Germany and Sweden, and ending up with degrees in social sciences and Business Administration.
In the mid-90s I started the agency which now is called "Marketing-Contor" which still is the registered business behind the trademarks of VinTour and VinTrade. Services in all kinds of marketing and promotion include Food & Beverages, Travel Trade, small business consulting and more.
Receiving my WSET certificate in 2004, that does not mean it started only then. Wine education, professional tasting and especially passion for wine and spirits have been part of my life many years before I decided to take more steps into the wine business.
In bringing together skills of Wines & Spirits, Travel trade and marketing plus consulting experiences, a new business unit named ”VinTrade” is providing a great scope of experience and skills, together with partners from the wine trade, such as sommeliers and other experts.
Along with the of the tour operator VinTour, and the wine promotion "VinTrade", it seemed to be natural and consequent to flag out my skills and services as wine journalist with corresponding names as VinTalk / VinText.
Since 2006 I have been running the specialist tour company VinTour, and not only since then I have been traveling the wine world to seek more ideas, products and contacts for worldwide culinary and wine experiences. All this led to a decent range of qualifications including

- WSET certified (Level 3 Advanced certificate in Wines and Spirits),
- Bachelor of Social Sciences in Tourism
- Master of Science in Business Administration with Specialization in Marketing and Tourism.
- General Certificate in Distilling from IBD in London
